Generic POP3 settings
Encrypted
(recommended)
The
purpose of using SSL for POP3 is primarily to keep your password secure.
It also happens to encrypt the email you download, but please see
this page to read more about email security.
Most
modering email clients support this method. It will generally ask for
the following pieces of information:
POP3
Server: mail.vanitude.com
Port: 995
Username: (your username)
Password: (your password)
Make
sure you mark any applicable SSL checkbox as it probably won't work
without it. Also, some clients (like Outlook Express) are smart enough
that when you specify the SSL option it automatically changes the port
to 995.
If you
are having any problems connecting, please contact

Unencrypted
(not recommended)
Not
all email clients support POP3 over SSL. So this is for those. Please
note: the method exposes your username and password to any machines
on the local network (most dangerous) and machines on the internet through
which the traffic passes (somewhat less dangerous). Of course, it's
generally a Bad Thing[tm] for people to get your username and password,
so you want to use this method as a last resort.
If you
are unable to use POP3 over SSL, please consider using Webmail
instead. It is encrypted, and more secure than unencrypted POP3. With
that said, here are the settings:
POP
Server: mail.vanitude.com
Port: 110
Username: (your username)
Password: (your password)
